Streaming Audio for Thru the Bible

Streaming Audio has the advantage that you can listen immediately. However, the files are not usually saved and you have to be live on the internet to listen to them. To save the files and listen later or burn them to a CD, I'd recommend you use one of our other download areas.

Note:
This page uses M3U play lists to stream an entire book of the Bible, one track after another. Streaming does not save the files, but rather starts the audio immediately before the file has finished downloading.

Each book will start the stream at the first track. You may fast-forward to later tracks any time you wish.

The files that are used for the streaming audio are cached in a temporary folder which will be deleted automatically later. If you want to save these files, I would suggest one of the other three download categories rather than this Streaming page.

Technical Notes:
I recommend you use Window Media Player to stream these M3U files, as it saves the MP3 files it calls up to your Temporary Internet Files directory, where you may retrieve them later if you want. In Internet Explorer
select
- Tools
- Internet Options
- General
- Settings
- View Files.

Under the View menu. select Details, and sort by Type (click on the Type column heading). You can now copy the MP3 files to another folder to avoid having them deleted automatically later.

If Windows Media Player does not launch automatically when you click a link here, you can reset your computer to use Window Media Player as the default player for M3U files. To do this, in Windows XP, do the following:
Start / Control Panel / Appearance and Themes / Folder Options / Files Types / (scroll down to M3U Extensions) / Change / Choose Windows Media Player / OK.
The next time you launch a M3U file, Windows Media Player will play it and you can retrieve the files that get streamed.

If you don't see the Now Playing List in Windows Media Player, make it visible as follows:
View / Now Playing Options / Show Playlist.

RealPlayer temp files cannot be saved.

NOTE: These files stream from here:

Alternatively, you can use the Complete Zipped Book, Books by CD list or the Individual Track list.
